I'm in Oregon for TartFest 2010.  The Tarts are good friends of mine.  We get together whenever we can, and since this year marks our tenth anniversary as friends, we decided to do something special.  Tarts from Alaska to Nova Scotia flew into Portland on Friday, and then drove to Cannon Beach, where we've rented a very cool beach house.  The view from the living room is amazing!

We found our rental house on vrbo.com, and it's perfect for a large group of people!  Lots of bedrooms, luxury bathrooms, and plenty of space, both indoors and out.

First thing this morning, we met up with my trainer, Beth, via Skype.  She got us through a training session in the upstairs living room that really got our energy levels up!  Here's Beth!

Afterwards, we showered and cleaned up a bit, and then went to town.  That consisted of driving down the road and parking in a public parking lot.  We walked down to the ocean, and then headed off in the direction of Haystack Rock.  We were in for a treat, as there was a dog show being held on the sand.  Oh, but first, Lois and Jamie went wading in the cold Pacific water...they were just showing off!
