Fernie, British Columbia

Today, friends and I made an impromptu trip to Fernie, British Columbia. It's only about two hours from home, and I'd been wanting to visit Canada lately, so off Jeanie, Allison, Kali the Dog, and I went! It was chilly and rainy, but still a fun drive through some beautiful country. Fernie has a population of about 5,000 people, and it's a big ski town, as it's surrounded by the Canadian Rockies. Lots of cute shops, and I can just imagine what it looks like during Christmas! In the meantime, here are a few snaps...nothing stellar, but you can get a feel for the town.

The Montana Homestead Emporium

Several months ago, I discovered a new place to visit: The Montana Homestead Emporium. Located out in the country, but not too far from downtown Kalispell, the Emporium is a little shop owned by Amy Glasman. Quite the creative soul, Amy makes and sells wonderful candles, potpourri, and other unique items for the home. Right now, she's stocked with gorgeous autumn things, and I've been back several times, not only for gifts, but for me, too! Here are some photos from my last visit. Enjoy!

The Shops at Station 8

There are so many amazing fall festivals and events going on right now. Yesterday, I went to The Shops at Station 8 in Columbia Falls, Montana. They were having their fall festival, and it was super nice...lots of high quality items for sale, plus entertainment for the kids.
