The Pasture at Willows Ranch

I spent yesterday at Fred and Peggy Hunt's awesome wedding venue in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, doing a little photographing here and there. With help from Jeanie Madeley, stylist extraordinaire, we set up some vignettes, and I was able to snap a photograph or two (or 380). The Pasture at Willows Ranch is a relatively new venture, and it is perfect for a country or vintage-themed wedding. I've known Fred and Peggy for almost ten years, and they are truly dedicated to insuring that weddings at The Pasture meet every bride's dreams.

When you walk into the barn, the first thing you'll notice is the scent of cedar. It reminds me of the cedar chest that my grandmother kept in the hallway of her old dogtrot house in rural Alabama. The barn has air conditioning and heating, to insure that the wedding party and guests are comfortable at all times. It's very large, with room for people upstairs, downstairs, and out on the patio.  The second thing I noticed (and perhaps it's only because I'm a photographer) is that the light in and around the barn is absolutely perfect. Parts of it seem to glow, which is wonderful when you're trying to capture just the right photograph.

Fred recently completed a gazebo, which is perfect for the exchange of wedding vows.

Handcrafted willow furniture and lighting (courtesy of Fred) is displayed throughout.

Ms. Dude is available to act as flower girl at no additional charge.  Well, perhaps a treat or two would be nice!

The Pasture also has a magical little suite for the bride to get ready in on her special day.

So if you're looking for the perfect venue for a wedding (or even a family reunion or retreat), consider The Pasture at Willows Ranch.  You'll be in good hands.

  1. Beautiful Venue. Saw the Hunts display area with awesome willow swings and chandeliers at First Monday in Canton, TX this weekend. Their creations were far and above the best quality shown there. Am building a second home and definitely plan to get one of their swings. Expensive but worth it.

  2. It is mind-blowing! I have just finished my interior designing course and I am also planning to host and organize weddings. This post is amazing and very informative. I can take up ideas from here for my projects. I am taking my sister’s wedding as my first project and I will be decorating one of the finest Seattle Wedding venues. I am so very excited for this.
