The Surgeon's House

I've just returned from a visit to my favorite bed & breakfast in the world:  The Surgeon's House in Jerome, Arizona. This was my fourth stay, so I'm now classifying myself as a "regular." Andrea, the owner, makes you feel so at home. The house is cozy comfortable, perched on one of the upper streets in Jerome, facing the Verde Valley. You can see the red rocks of Sedona  and all the way to the San Francisco Peaks near Flagstaff, if it's clear enough. There are four rooms you can rent: three in the house, all with private baths, plus another located in a separate building over the garage. The yard is huge (especially by Jerome standards), with lots of places to both sit and look. Andrea's breakfasts are legendary, the best in town!  You can spend the day on a chaise lounge with a soft blanket reading vintage Nancy Drew books, or you can walk to town and enjoy the restaurants, shops, and galleries. Here are a few shots, taken at various times of the day, so that you can see how beautifully the light changes. Enjoy, and if you ever have the opportunity to visit here, you can count yourself lucky!  It's a place you'll never forget.
