France - Day Seven - Part Trois

In addition to seeing the lovely holiday home, we were privileged to also see our friends' homes for the first time. They were tres belle! We started at Nerida's house. Nerida is from Australia, and she's a very talented painter, who has lived in Saint Cirq-Lapopie for many years.

 To haul things up and down in these old homes, you have to get creative!

From there, we walked down to Ann's charming home!

France - Day Seven - Part Deux

Yesterday afternoon deserves a post all to itself. After meeting Ann and Nerida, friends who each own homes in Saint Cirq-Lapopie, we were able to view a house here that was completely restored from the rubble. The owner rents it out as a holiday home, and it is beyond impressive. So, what's behind this door?  Oooooh la la!

Day Seven - France

Another perfect day in France! We met new friends, Ann and Nerida, both of whom own homes in Saint Cirq-Lapopie, and followed them to the little village of Arcambal this morning to check out a vide grenier (similar to a garage sale, but better). Lots of fun things, and a great way to start out the morning!
