France - Day Eleven

Day eleven, and to be honest with you, my energy is starting to flag. It was super hot in Paris today, there is no decent air conditioning anywhere I’ve been, and my feet hurt. I may be too old to be doing this sort of thing. That said, I would not trade today for anything. Although we went to Sennelier, Laduree and some other fun places, this afternoon, we went to the Atelier des Lumieres and saw the immersive Van Gogh exhibit. Showing through the end of the year, if you have the opportunity, please go. This is a digital exhibition that projects Van Gogh’s paintings on the walls, floors and ceiling  of a former foundry in the eleventh arrondissement. 140 video projectors are used. The music transfixes you: everything from Nina Simone to Janis Joplin.  Photographs don’t do it justice, but here are a few.
