Shop Etsy

One of the things I've long wanted to do is to open up an Etsy shop.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with Etsy, go here and you can check it out.  Artists use etsy to promote and sell their goods.  It's reasonably priced, and it gives the sellers good opportunities to showcase their work around the world.  It's a different way of selling from back in the day (think little or no overhead). Buyers benefit from it, too.  They can shop in the comfort of their own homes, and find just what they want.  You don't have to go to the out and about, hunting for just the right piece of art.

So I opened up a shop in 2009 and promptly did nothing.  Until last week, when I feverishly decided to stock it with 5x7 photographs I'd taken in France.  The photographs are printed onto mat board, so you can put them on a little easel or they can be framed without glass.  They have a dreamy linen texture, and they're really quite gorgeous, if I do so say myself.  Anyway, I digress.  It took me half a day to figure out what to do, and how to "create" my Etsy shop, but I did it, and today I got my first sale!  These petit fleurs will soon be winging their way to a new owner.
Those of you who know me know that I do a lot of photo shoots...weddings, showers, families, babies, etc. I don't have opportunities very often to showcase my non-session work, so this is a much beloved chance for me.  I just had to make it happen, and I finally did!  The thing about selling on etsy, though, is that there are zillions of items for sale, and it's hard to get a foothold in and actually get your work noticed. This is where YOU come in.  Please take a minute and look at my shop by clicking here.  I'd love for you to also share the link on facebook or via email with anyone you know who might be interested.  I have quite a few friends who run successful etsy shops, and I know it's a lot of work, but it's another way for me to get my photography out there.  Next up:  a series of "Texana" photographs!
You don't have to go to Paris, France or Paris, Texas.  Stick with me, and I'll take you there. Custom orders are welcome, as I've got subjects galore. Thanks, y'all!
