We actually arrived a little early, so we tried to find a place to eat lunch in the tiny village. The starred restaurant attached to the hotel across the street was full for lunch, but they agreed to make us ham and butter sandwiches on fresh French bread. Along with some wine, this lunch was the best thing ever!
After looking at some beautifully made art, we drove to Riquewihr, our home away from home for the next six days. We’ve stayed here many times in the past, and have become friends with the owners, Jean-Paul and Martine Krebs. Our house this year is called the Alsatian Hart and it is magnificent.
More later!
Beautiful! Looks like you have fully recovered and are having the best time! All good here!
