Thanksgiving 2016

I drove down to Salado, Texas with my best friend, Jeanie, for Thanksgiving. Her brother and his wife live there, and were hosting lunch. The weather was perfect, and it was a fun day! There were lots of dogs (residents and visitors), and a beautiful yard where I could've sat all day. I'm thankful for many things, and yesterday was one of them.

I'm behind on some of my blogging, but wanted to make sure this precious family 's photo shoot was captured here. The boys are growing so quickly, and mom and dad---well, they are just as handsome as ever! Enjoy some of my favorites.

Galgas del Waco

I donated a photo session for the Sighthound Underground's recent online auction, and was so happy when a woman from Waco, Texas bid and won it! She told me she had three Galgas, rescues from Spain. My friend, Victoria Niel, first introduced me to Galgas. She lives in Lyon, France and has two lovely ones: Joy and Sofia. I immediately fell in love with these regal dogs, and was excited to drive down to Waco this morning to photograph Blossom, Hanna, and Mika. For those of you who are not familiar with this breed, I'd suggest checking out Galgos del Sol. One of my client's dogs actually came from GDS. These dogs literally are rescues from hell, and it is so heartwarming to see them living the lives they deserve. Meet Blossom, Hanna, and Mika:
